About Jeff Danos
Happy accidents...that's what Jeff's first high school art teacher
called it; when an unintended phenomenon results in a positive
influence on the visible world around us. His visual arts fuse
mixed media, digital collage, and experiments in font manipulation
to create striking, high-contrast compositions.
As a photography major in college, Jeff experimented with
darkroom techniques such as solarization, chemical "painting",
double exposures, liquid light, and Holochrome prints. During
these many experiments, he learned that seemingly random
processes could occasionally lead to the unexpected and unique.
He was soon introduced to digital graphics, where he could apply
a bit more control to these "off purpose" images, finessing chaos
into more cohesive compositions. He soon refocused his emphasis
to digital imaging, and with that, the possibility to affect
viewers across the globe via the internet further inspired him.
Jeff relocated to Eureka Springs in 2006, and quickly established
himself as a web designer, writer, electronic musician, deejay,
activist, and local zombie wrangler. He has learned that his knack
for harnessing "off purpose" aesthetics applies to more than just
the visual world. Whether via art, music, film, or themed special
events, Jeff infuses all of his creative projects with
his unique serendipitous vibe.
